NTP Technology releases Pro | Mon monitor control option for DAD AX32 and DX32 with EUCON 3 support for Avid S6 Control Surface

NTP Technology, a Connectivity Partner of Avid Technology, Inc., has chosen NAB 2015 for the broadcast industry debut of its Pro | Mon monitor control for the Avid® Pro Tools® | S6 control surface and other Avid EUCON™ 3 enabled control surfaces.

"Pro | Mon elevates monitor control to a new level by providing the functionality of both the Avid XMON™ and Avid Studio Monitor Pro monitor solutions," says NTP Technology Sales Director Mikael Vest. "Pro | Mon adds multiple inputs and outputs that will easy adapt to any Avid Pro Tools | HD, HDX or HD Native S6 based hardware environment. This enables music and post-production facilities to benefit from interfacing to analogue and digital domains with speaker formats from stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 all the way up to 64 channels for Dolby Atmos.

Pro | Mon integrates closely with the NTP Technology DAD AX32 ultra-high-quality analog/digital audio converter and the DAD DX32 router units, allowing both to be managed via EUCON 3 enabled DADman 4.2 control software. The combination provides a versatile input/output platform and switching matrix with up to 48 analogue inputs or outputs, 16 AES/EBU I/O and 64 to 192 MADI I/O on up-to three MADI ports. Also accessible are a 64 channel interface for Avid Pro Tools HD, HDX and HD Native as well as SDI-embedded audio.

Housed in a compact 2U chassis, the AX32 is designed for use in no-compromise audio recording and mixing as well as post-production. Large multi-microphone arrays can be accommodated without the need to transport a second processor. Up to 48 microphone feeds can be connected back to the control room along a single Cat 5 cable via fully transparent and uncompressed IP Ethernet.

The DX32 is a digital audio bridge and router interface designed for applications such as multi-room recording studios, post-production facilities and audio distribution installations. It allows all digital input and output routing to be managed within a single unit or a combination of units. With near zero latency, the DX32 can be used to expand I/O channel count and interface digital components, providing a high quality bridge between AES/EBU, MADI, Avid Pro Tools HDX and the Dante IP audio network.
