Hiltron Communications, a leading specialist in satellite and wireless communication systems integration and product development, announces a key addition to its executive team with the appointment of Thorsten Peters to manage the systems and projects departments.

ThorstenPeters

"Thorsten Peters has precisely the combination of technical skills, creativity and team-management ability needed for this role," says Hiltron's managing director Jan Molter. "He has excellent credentials in the broadcast satellite communication sector which forms the core of our manufacturing and systems integration activity plus a good understanding of the wider telecommunications business."

"Hiltron is one of Europe's most highly respected satellite communications specialists," Thorsten Peters adds. "It is noted both for its own-design products and the ability to deliver successful satcom project solutions on practically any scale. I look forward to working with the senior management team and my engineering colleagues as we strive to deliver the best possible hardware, software and systems to our customers."

Graduating from the Ruhr University with a degree in high frequency systems and antennas, Thorsten Peters joined Thyssen Telecom AG in 1996 as video services project manager at the group's Spaceline Communication Services division. He progressed in 2008 to the Media Broadcast subsidiary of TDF, advancing through technical and financial management roles. As an expert in business engineering, he reported directly to the CTO of the company's Cologne-based network planning section.

This new addition to the Hiltron management team follows the recent appointment of Antonio Monteverde who joined the company in April 2016 as sales director.
