ATG Danmon Reports Buoyant and Successful NAB 2015

ATG Danmon, one of Europe's most experienced broadcast systems integrators, reports a highly successful 2015 NAB Show. Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 11-16, the event attracted over 103,000 registered attendees. This figure is 5,000 higher than the total registered attendance for the 2014 NAB Show.

"Staying fully up to date with the latest developments in broadcast technology is a vital element of our ongoing success," comments ATG Danmon Managing Director Christoffer Kay. "The industry is advancing at accelerating speed, spurred by the need every television channel faces to maximise audience share. This is particularly critical for subscription-based networks which have long been particularly keen both to maximise their operational efficiency and to push the boundaries of the production envelope. The ATG Danmon team at NAB met with major customers during the show to discuss current and future plans. These meetings were supported by one-to-one demonstrations from existing and potential suppliers, researching the latest production equipment, infrastructure and supporting software."

"NAB strongly reflected the growing interest in IP-based content delivery tempered by the need to maintain fast signal processing in live video production," adds Commercial Director Russell Peirson-Hagger. "4K is also advancing quickly from being a discussion topic at NAB 2014 to a real business platform this year. UK broadcasters are already investing, encouraged by 4K production equipment becoming far more cost-effective. As a systems integrator we need to ensure we are tuned to new developments and ready to act on these technology changes. Our customers rely on us to make the right technological choices for them in order to gain maximum benefit from their investment."

ATG Danmon (www.atgdanmon.co.uk) pioneered the transition from videotape to the file-based technology now used throughout the industry. It has also assisted many clients in the construction of high-definition studios, master control rooms and playout facilities, as well as the upgrade of existing SD systems to HD.

Dan Technologies System Integration Division operates from offices in Britain, Denmark, Germany, Jordan, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
